Tomasz and Rozalia Skaja who reside at 2346 Ems received a message from Washington DC that their son, private Jozef Skaja, age 25 years old, member of company " G ", 2-go regiment infantry died in combat in France on November 4, 1918 while fighting the Huns. Jozef Skaja joined the US army in May of 1917 at Jefferson barracks, MO from where he trained for 3 months and was then sent to a camp in Fort Bliss Texas. Shortly after, he left to France with others. |
